VOLUNTARY SERVICES
For the food, clothing and similar aid organizations planned for disaster areas, in addition to its own medical facilities, S.O.S ensures that the aids from other institutions and persons are collected and distributed to the respective persons in need. In the field tent established during the earthquake that occurred in 1999, in addition to its own teams, S.O.S has organized the efforts of voluntary physicians and healthcare personnel for a successful period of 1.5 months and ensured medicine aids, distributions and maintenance. S.O.S has continued providing humanitarian aids after the earthquake.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECTS AND SPONSORSHIP ACTIVITIES
S.O.S maintains awareness of social responsibility and acts as per its mission to sponsor foundations and associations such as the Handicap Association, the Turkish Cancer Foundation, the Foundation for Children with Leukemia etc., organizes paint and essay competitions at elementary schools to form an awareness of emergency aids as well as blood donation campaigns with the Red Crescent, and information seminaries for public awareness and, provide applied training activities throughout Turkey to increase the level of awareness of emergency services. Further, S.O.S donates some portion of its incomes from the sales of its emergency healthcare services to the respective Non-Governmental Organizations.
